Membership Classification Description (Note 2)
Senior A sole owner of a properly certified and registered Lido 14 Class sloop who is nineteen (19) years of age or over as of December 31.
Senior Syndicate A part owner of a properly certified and registered Lido 14 Class sloop who is nineteen (19) years of age or over as of December 31. Each syndicate member must own at least an individual one-third (1/3) interest in a Lido 14 Class sloop. Only one (1) syndicate member per boat.
Spouse The spouse of a Senior member or a Senior Syndicate member.
Senior Dependent The dependent of a Senior member or a Senior Syndicate member who is 18 years of age or over.
Senior Associate A person wishing to associate with Lido 14 sailors, receive official correspondence, etc. An Associate Member may skipper or charter or borrow a properly registered Lido 14 sloop.
Junior A sole owner of a properly certified and registered Lido 14 Class sloop who is under nineteen (19) years of age as of December 31
Junior Syndicate A part owner of a properly certified and registered Lido 14 Class sloop who is under nineteen (19) years of age as of December 31. Each Syndicate member must own at least an individual one-third (1/3) interest in a Lido 14 Class sloop.
Junior Dependent The dependent of a Senior or a Senior Syndicate member who is under nineteen (19) years of age as of December 31.
Junior Associate A person, 19 years of age or younger as of December 31 of the calendar year, wishing to associate with Lido 14 sailors, receive official correspondence, etc. This classification has no voting rights. A Junior Associate Member may skipper or charter or borrow a properly registered Lido 14 sloop.
Group An organizations or group owning one or more qualified Lido 14 sloops. Groups may associate with or join an existing Lido Fleet, and are encouraged to do so if at all possible. Groups not able to associate with an existing Lido 14 Fleet may join the Class Association by applying to the Governing Board as an Unattached Group. Group Membership dues will be the same as for a Senior Member, and shall have one vote. Individual group members wishing to compete in district or Class Championships shall apply in advance of the event for special dispensation to the Organizing Authority so long as other Class Racing Rules are in compliance. Borrowed sails may be allowed if applied for in writing in advance of the event at the discretion of the Chief Measurer.
Feet Boat A boat used for charter or loan may be registered with the Class Association as an addition to the fleet equivalent to an Associate Membership. The boat may be an actual property of a Senior Member having another eligible Lido 14 sloop. Fleet boats used for charter or loan shall be properly qualified as an eligible Lido 14 sloop. Guest Skipper rules shall apply to fleet owned boats sailed outside of local fleet regattas. Fleet boats will be registered by the fleet upon payment of dues equivalent to that of an Associate Member. The Fleet boat will be issued a transom sticker and appropriate fleet recognition for the Class Roster.
Guest A skipper who is not an Association member may be a guest of one (1) sponsoring Lido 14 fleet for three (3) regattas or series per calendar year. The guest must obtain the approval from the sponsoring fleet (typically from the fleet Captain) prior to racing in the regatta. Guest skipper names shall be submitted to the Association Secretary within a month after the regatta. The boat used by a guest must conform to measurements of the Association.   A guest may not compete in a District or Class Championship.
